Club Membership Fees (Now Due for 2024)

Club membership is once again set at a very reasonable £25 pa for the 2024 season. An email will be sent to all members from the club secretary with instructions on how and when to pay.

When you become a member you have access to all the club facilities for the year (including Indoor Bowling.) If you do not have your own bowls, jacks, or mats, we have equipment you are welcome to use.

Play as often as you like with no additional green fees. (guests of members £2 per session)

Match Fees

(Members selected to play in a team will pay £2 subs for league matches and £1 for cup matches.)

New Members

Please note that all potential new members will be offered free taster sessions (with no obligation) to use our club facilities. We now have 2 qualified beginner coaches (Maria Naylor & Tina Botterill) who can teach you the basics of the game.  The club will once again have Open Days throughout 2024 where non-members can enjoy a game of bowls and meet other members of our friendly club. These dates will be published on our Facebook page.

Thereafter, if you have joined us as a club member, we will provide you with free coaching sessions to help you improve your game. You may wish to purchase your own bowls, and I’m sure there will be plenty of members willing to advise you on where to make the purchase and how much to pay. 

Looking After Our Green

With respect to our green keeper Steven Hounslow, and his team we ask all members and visitors to wear flat shoes or trainers at all times, please.

Green Opening & Closing Dates For 2024

The league season will start in March and will go through to the end of October. The committee will decide when social bowling starts and finishes based on weather conditions at the time. 

Booking Our Green

We do allow groups of visitors from other bowling clubs to book our green but there are only a few selected dates throughout the season. Any group organiser should contact David Curran,  on – 07969092565 for dates and prices, or any other committee member.

We can offer a variety of different catering packages utilising the facilities of the Rolls Royce Leisure Club next door to our club.
